What Are Yard Operatives?
Yard operatives keep the outside of a busy site organised and safe, supporting the vehicles and drivers coming in and out.
Typical work includes:
- Directing and organising vehicle movements in the yard
- Supporting loading and unloading
- Checking vehicles and loads in and out where the site requires it
- Keeping the yard safe and tidy
Duties vary from site to site, so we ask about the tasks, the shift and any site requirements before we match anyone.
